Our missionGirl on the MOVE in a gait trainer

To ensure that every young person across Europe with severe disabilities has the option of joining the MOVE programme.

Our plans

  • Reach every one of the 110,000 children with profound and multiple difficulties in the UK and be able to offer them the opportunity to join and benefit from the MOVE programme.
  • Raise awareness of MOVE across the UK in order to access more schools and centres but also to encourage support and awareness of the issues facing children with profound and multiple difficulties.
  • Encourage more schools to train their staff as MOVE Practitioners so that the MOVE programme may be delivered throughout a child's time at their school.
  • Bring more Adult Training Centres onto the MOVE programme in order to ensure that children's achievements are not lost when they leave their school and go to day care services.
  • Support more schools and centres to achieve Regional Centre of Excellence status.
  • Train more MOVE Trainers  to ensure that the MOVE programme remains a cost-effective sustainable practice for its users.
  • Recruit more MOVE Consultants to support and expand the local delivery of the MOVE programme.
  • Continue to monitor and evaluate MOVE trainings to ensure that the MOVE programme is used at a consistently high standard.
