Support Us
There are more than 110,000 children living with a severe disability in the
UK alone today. With one
child born or diagnosed with a disability every half an hour, this number is
growing daily.
"It’s important to me
to be a member of the community. It’s important for me to stand up
because I can be at the same level as adults. All my life I’ve really
wanted to move about. I’ve really wanted to integrate with my friends
and I would never have the chance if I wasn’t able to move about. And
so it’s important to me.…It’s one of the most brilliant feelings.
I like being able to move about and not have people take
me…. It makes me feel
as free as a bird." Colin, pictured left.
