National MOVE Day - 7th November

Thank you for joining us in celebrating your achievements and hard work with the MOVE Programme by taking part in National MOVE Day 2007.

National MOVE Day is our  yearly national celebration of the achievements made by children and young adults through the MOVE Programme. We are delighted that now even more young people with complex disabilities and health needs are learning how to sit, stand, walk and MOVE!

The day provided an opportunity for schools and centres using the MOVE Programme to come together to commemorate the fantastic achievements that have been made as well as raising awareness of MOVE.

The MOVE Olympics - 2008

This years' National MOVE Day is taking on a sporting theme with the MOVE Olympics. We are asking for all of our schools/centres to show their support for MOVE by taking part in activities including:

An Olympic parade Carrying of the Olympic flame Passing of the Olympic baton Making and flying of Olympic flags Olympic award ceremony Pacer football Trampolining Hydrotherapy pool Olympic floating Bean-bag shot put Singing of songs Cake baking Sit a little straighter, stand a little taller, walk a little further

We would love for you to join us in celebrating your achievements, so if your school or centre is ready to compete for gold please contact Catherine Ramshaw to receive a MOVE Olympics pack. It is full of fun ideas for the day, plus you will also receive stickers for everyone taking part and a MOVE Olympic certificate.
