MOVE Day
MOVE Day is an annual celebration of the achievements made by children and adults through the MOVE Programme.
All schools and centres, whether using the MOVE Programme or not, and those companies and individuals supporting MOVE’s work are encouraged to take part in the event to celebrate the achievements of those learning how to sit, stand, walk and transfer as well as the hard work of their care teams supporting the development of these skills.
Whether you’re a special school, mainstream school, adult centre or a business, get involved and enjoy the fun.

MOVE Day 2011 - May 18th
Schools and centres across Europe took part in the MOVE Pirate experience involving many different activities including: treasure hunts, fancy dress, walk the plank activities for all abilities, pin the parrot on the pirate and messages in bottles. if that wasn’t enough, they many also took part in fundraising activities for MOVE including cake and ‘grog’ sales, coffee mornings and pirate parties to name but a few.
This year’s event was a huge success with all participating having a great time searching high and low for their gold. Here are just a few of the fantastic pictures sent in by our participating schools and centres.
