National MOVE Day is our annual nationwide celebration of the achievements made by children and adults through the MOVE Programme. We are delighted that now even more people with complex disabilities and health needs are learning how to sit, stand, walk and MOVE and we would like you all to join in with our celebration!

Winner of National MOVE Day 2008 - The MOVE Olympics
As 2008 was an Olympic year, MOVE chose the Olympics for the theme of 2008's National MOVE Day.
We are delighted with the number of schools/centres that took part and the imaginative ways in which they celebrated. Activities included Olympic parades, the carrying of the flame, a relay race around the 02 arena, sporting games, a danceathon, a disco and award ceremonies to name but a few!
Although it was a very close and difficult decision to make, only one of the participating schools could win the £500 Jenx voucher.
Congratulations to Charlton School, Greenwich who were awarded the prize by MOVE Young Person Ambassador, Kathryn Blair, for the the original way in which they used their local facilities and involved the community to provide a fun filled day for their pupils. The school had carried out a relay race around the O2 along with a parade and wii fit games.
