MOVE Quality Mark
The MOVE Quality Mark is an opportunity for those schools/centres using the MOVE Programme to have their quality of provision measured and rewarded, bringing recognition for the work carried out within the organisation. It is an inclusive award which can be attained by all types and sizes of schools and organisations.
The MOVE Quality Mark complements and supports the principles underpinning a number of national strategies in education, health and social provision, the inspection frameworks for these strategies, and, the Government’s drive to improve standards and life chances for disabled children and adults. The model, based on the Basic Skills Agency Quality Mark approach, provides a framework for continuous improvement and self evaluation, which will support schools, centres and organisations in gathering evidence for the monitoring and inspection processes.
A school/centre/organisation working towards the award will find that its adds value to current teaching and learning practices with children and adults who have complex physical disabilities and will support improved outcomes for them.
The MOVE Quality Mark can be used as a supportive improvement framework for those needing to address the issues of developing and enhancing the MOVE process, or as an external validation and recognition of good practice and progress in the MOVE principles. A school or organisation will be able to focus on achieving specific benefits, which then become measurable objectives and thus make MOVE an independently assessed quality standard that shows that the school or organisation is focused in meeting the needs of its clients. In completing a MOVE Quality Mark, it is then possible for schools/centres to apply to become a MOVE Centre of Excellence.
The MOVE Quality Mark has been approved and validated by its independent monitoring body, the MOVE Partnership Professional Advisory Council. For more information on how to apply for a MOVE Quality Mark, please contact us.
