Ofsted and HMIe reports
The MOVE Programme is a best practice framework which strengthens a school/centre’s physical development provision by bringing professionals from all relevant agencies together, whilst encouraging collaborative working at all levels. The benefits of the programme are evident not only for those using the MOVE Programme but also those examining the school/centres from an outside perspective.
"There are many examples of good, and some outstanding individual programmes, including the MOVE Programme, a very successful and flexible activity-based movement programme."
There have been many examples in which the MOVE Programme has helped to enhance a school/centre’s Ofsted or HMIe inspection, with recognition within the following areas:
- Attitudes and personal development
- Teamwork
- Curriculum
- Physical education and mobility opportunities
- Staff development
- Equal Opportunities.
Just some of the comments made can be found within our Ofsted HMIe report.
In addition to this, the MOVE Programme was also commended in Derbyshire’s Joint Area Review (JAR) which focuses on the outcomes for groups of children and young people who are potentially vulnerable because of their circumstances and the safeguarding arrangements for all children and young people in a local area.
